dive in productions began in the spring of 2014 as a place for artists to grow and explore.
Dive In Productions was founded by Marina Altschiller-Gannon during her time at Emerson College. The company launched with the Boston premiere of The Upside of Being Down by Seacoast playwright, Miles Burns. In the subsequent years, the company focused on the development of new works by emerging playwrights - both through workshop productions and premieres.
In 2016 the company moved from its home in Boston to Portsmouth, New Hampshire where the focus continued to be on new artists and new works.
In 2018, Dive In Productions expanded into presenting larger-scale productions with Little Shop of Horrors produced at The Hatbox Theatre in Concord, New Hampshire. The team also grew to include Jordan Formichelli as the Artistic Director.
In 2019 the company produced Pasek and Paul’s Dogfight at the Players’ Ring, successfully pushing their creative boundaries for 12 performances, as well as began a partnership with Jupiter Hall to produce a monthly cabaret series.
In 2020, Meghan Flynn joined the team as Dive In’s Technical Director.
Dive In Productions is a learning-based company that focuses on giving everyone, no matter their level of experience, a chance to learn and grow in the theatre community. The company encourages people to "Dive In" and take a chance at something new.
