Every Wednesday at 6pm, our friends from Dive In Productions and the Players' Ring team will be leading a 45 minute workshop (+15 min Q&A), sharing their knowledge, experiences, skills and secret tips on several topics: there will be something for everybody!

Workshop #7 BUILDING YOUR BACKSTORY - CHARACTER ANALYSIS

Who is your character? What experiences have they gone through? What are their likes? Their dislikes? What are their goals? What scares them? What motivates them? These are only a few of the questions actors need to ask themselves in order to build an authentic, three-dimensional character whose thoughts, actions, and words on stage are honest. In this course we will take you through creating a character and making sure they fit the world of the show. The course is designed for actors wishing to deepen their understanding of character analysis and get back in touch with character building. We will also touch on how directors help guide these conversations and keep in mind creating the "world" of the production
